Can someone help me finish solving this problem? I know how to solve it but I'm just stuck on one simple step. Solve the following system of equations and show all work. y = x^2 + 3 y = x + 5

OpenStudy (airyana1114):

I know I can solve by substitution and making them equal to each other giving me x^2 + 3 = x + 5. I just can't seem to get past this step because I don't know what to do with my exponent!
