If you were an astronomer studying the sun, what instruments would you rely on? A. anemometer, binoculars, barometer B. telescopes, spectrometer, satellites C. computer, microphone, cellphone D. radar, thermometer, microwave
What do you think?look up what each instrument does, if you dont already know.
anemometer measures wind speed, binoculars allow you to see something up close that is far away (which wouldnt be helpful considering the sun is too bright to look at) barometer is used to measure atmospheric pressure (mostly for weather ) a telescope is similar to binoculars, but can see at a much farther distance a spectrometer measures the spectra a satellite orbits in space to collect data about other planets or moons we all know what a computer, microphone, and cellphone do radar helps determine how fast an object is going thermometer measures temperature microwave heats up food.
now that you know what all those things do, you can figure out what the answer is :)
It would really depend on what exactly you were trying to study about the sun. Are you trying to see the apparent surface to see if there is anything special about it? Are you measuring the heat fluctuations as it rotates? etc. But you would most likely want option B out of those options - you can put a filter (there are many different ones) on a telescope so you can look at it. I'm not sure if you can do the same thing for binoculars or not.
