since all of the sides of this figure are either horizontal or vertical, you can determine the length of each side by inspection. Just count the number of grid squares between each point. Then add together the lengths of the six sides to obtain the perimeter. Example: The segment from (2,5) to (5,5) has length 5-2, or 3.
