Okay, so we need to use PEMDAS in order from top to bottom. P-arenthesis E-xponents M-ultiplcation D-ivision A-ddition S-ubtraction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the order of operations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where I'm from we don't usually call it that lol XD We are weird haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First we must solve (-2+1.6) when I put that in my calculator I get -.4 Then, all we do now is add (12.4+(-.4)) and you get 12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that's the answer. :) I can teach you a much much faster way of solving problems like these.

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

12.4 + (-0.4) add those and you get your answer

You can use that as well. I like doing that more than order of operations. Yup! You know your vocab :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you help me with a nother one ?

Yeah, I'll help you until your all done if you want.
