List the vertices of the image of ∆ABC after the translation (x, y)→(x + 3, y – 2) is applied. Vertices of ∆ABC are A(4,5), B(-3, 4), C(2, -1). (3 points) What is the image of the point A(2, 5) first reflected over y = 5, then reflected over x = -2. (1 point first reflection, 1 point second reflection) What is the image of N after a 135° rotation about O? What angle of rotation maps LM to PR? (2 points)

Some please help me i need it by tomorrow i been struggling so much

OpenStudy (danjs):

translations parallel to the axis like in the first are pretty easy to take care of... (x,y) ---(x+3 , y-2) apply that rule to each pointA,B,C add 3 to the x, and take 2 off the y

OpenStudy (danjs):

like this.. for all points A(4,5) ----A'(7, 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay that is way to do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry im not very good at math it sucks :(

OpenStudy (danjs):

yes, for translations, they want to move it over 3 and down 2

OpenStudy (danjs):

there is the point in #2, A(2,5), and the lines for reflections y=5 and x=-2

OpenStudy (danjs):

Notice the point is sitting right on the line y=5 already. There is no reflection unless it is not on the line,, so reflecting over y=5 will not move the point..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay
