All rectangles have four right angles, and all squares have four right angles. Can a rectangle also be a square? Why or Why Not?

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

Not all the sides are congruent for the rectangle and all sides in a square are congruent...so no a rectangle cannot be a square

OpenStudy (usernamenottaken):

No, because a square has more lines of symmetry than a rectangle. This is due to the fact that a square has same side lengths unlike a rectangle.

OpenStudy (f_jayyy):

exactly...you said it yourself @UsernameNotTaken ...their side lengths are all the same which means the same thing as congruent
