OpenStudy (dakid88):

The Hamden board of education wants to know how the community feels about building a new media center for the middle school. They used the top 40 names out of the 7,300 names on the voter registration list and called every tenth person. Which of the following are true of the sample of 40 voters? Check all that apply.

OpenStudy (dakid88):

The sample is not randomly chosen. The sample should be larger to give more reliable information. The sample size is too large to make inferences. The sample size is too small to represent the population. The sample size is too small and will show larger variation. The sample is invalid because it randomly chooses voters. The sample size is too small and can lead to false inferences.

@Qwertty123 @queen.

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

What do you think the answers are?

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

Yeah ^

OpenStudy (dakid88):

i think the first one the thrid and the last one

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

Hint: There are 40 voters out of 7,300. Would 40 voters give reliable information? Maybe, but what if the school needs more? :)

OpenStudy (dakid88):

so ur saying the second one, fourth one ,and the last one

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

Do you think those are the answers?

OpenStudy (dakid88):

yes but if theyre wrong then no

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

Hmm. I'll just explain then. Do you really think 40 out of 7,300 could really represent a population If that did ever happen, ever. There would be unfair changes, there should be more voters. :)

OpenStudy (dakid88):

lol idk i need to hurry up only one minute of the test is left

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

Is that a graded test? o-o?

OpenStudy (dakid88):

lol yes trying to make 100%

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

Sorry, we aren't allowed to help on graded tests. It would be cheating, which s against the rules of OpenStudy. It is also breaking your school's honor code. However we can help you prepare for the test. Please don't post graded test questions, you will get a suspension :/.
