Question

I have nothing intelligent running through my mind.

I wanted to somehow express how my time as a child wasn't enough for me, as a child I wanted to be an adult...now I realize I'm running out of time :T So, here it is:

(Perspective from me being seventeen now)


What's on your head?

Laying down, thinking of memories
And all I remember is my dear enemies
Perhaps I should have had a great childhood
Cheeky and rosey, just as it should
In a few months I will be of proper age
Where will all my grieving be? Working in the backstage?
I want people to say, "A Lovely young woman you've blossomed into."
"Not bounded in chains, put together by glue."
My heart at this time was feeling
Those feelings I'd feel, weren't so appealing
It would be like a child touching a hot stove
Because maybe one day, that stove would accept me as a trove
Nevertheless, that never happened
But as these thoughts manifested, a new me had awakened

I hop out of bed, put on my white sundress
The lighter you are, the weight will come less
As I thought, what look would match my frilly
I look to my vase, and grab a calla lily
Run out the door, because I'm late for school
But smelling the dawn, sucking the scene up, as if it were fuel
A face, oh that face, it was hard to make
Many people never saw it, so they'd assume it was fake
Two rows of white teeth
The evergreen grass, I could feel beneath
Standing and waiting for the green light to pass
It went red, and I ran as if it were my last
The force was so powerful, as if a donkey had kicked his legs
Behind me was rainbows, light, happiness and segues

For a message in my head started as a speck
"Yesterday was almost perfect
Today will be better
Tomorrow is just another adventure"
I run to my biology class
Almost knocking over the tool made out of glass
My teacher walked up to me and made this statement
Bending over as if it were a book to be lent
And only these words came out as he said
"Ana child, what's on your head?"
