Provide three statements that demonstrate the importance of units when describing motion. What does that mean? Could you please explain or put it in simpler terms? Possibly an example? Thank you!

OpenStudy (shamim):

Welcome to openstudy !!!!

OpenStudy (shamim):

Anyway do u know an equation of motion is as S=vt

OpenStudy (shamim):

Here s=distance travelled

OpenStudy (shamim):

v=velocity

OpenStudy (shamim):

t=time

OpenStudy (shamim):

Now u know the unit of s=metre

OpenStudy (shamim):

Unit of velocity=meter/sec

OpenStudy (shamim):

Unit of time=sec

OpenStudy (shamim):

So unit of vt=meter/sec*sec=meter Right?

OpenStudy (shamim):

So we can say The unit of s= unit of vt

OpenStudy (shamim):

So both the left hand side n right hand side of an equation has the same unit. Right?!

OpenStudy (shamim):

Now u can check the unit of another equation of motion

OpenStudy (shamim):

For example try it v=u+at
