I read this online is this correct? "The electric field is a pole, the magnetic field is a dipole in nature, magnetic monopoles though acceptable by the theories, have not been found."

Yes that sounds correct. The are no such things as magnetic monopoles but there are two types of electric charge. So electric field lines start on a positive charge and finish on a negative charge. Magnetic field lines can form a closed loop.
