Two questions. Fan and medal!! Need help ASAP
How did the U.S. take a more active role in world affairs? *three examples * Explain how the Roosevelt Corollary demonstrated Roosevelt's belief in "big stick" diplomacy.
For number one so far I've got.. Roosevelt was an imperialist, once he took office he made it a point to show the US's military strength throughout the globe.
With the Navy especially
The Roosevelt Corollary expands the ideas in the Monroe Doctrine. MD claimed the US could protect smaller countries in South America from European influence by using policy to intervene. The RC added that the US would add military force to that intervention. Roosevelt's Big stick is the Navy
Could you help me some with the first question as well? :)
Not sure of the timetable of your question but here are some examples of imperialism TR interference in Cuba as Secty of War. Spanish American War Attempt to keep the Philippines after Span/Am Annexation of Hawaii Support of Panama independence from Venezuala Manipulating Panama to get a canal with favorable terms for US Helping to settle claims of the Russians and Japanese to end their war.
