Hi! Welcome to openstudy!

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

To simplify this expression, distribute the -1. Distribution: (a + b)x = ax + bx

OpenStudy (mazmaz):

2+c

you are welcome

(–5 – c)(–1)

OpenStudy (mazmaz):

5+c look what you have to do is take (-5) and (-c) sepperately and multiply both of them by the outside number which is negative 1 (-1) so -5 times -1 equals positive +5 and -c times -1 equals positive c and then you put them together as +5+c or 5+c which is the same thing
