Suppose the point (2, -5) is on the graph of y = f(x). Find the corresponding point on the following transformations of f. (a) y = -14f(x+5) There are other parts, but I want to see if I can do those after I get help with this part. I'm actually ahead of the class by a day or two in homework, but I'm doing this so I know what my weak points are ahead of time, so any help would be appreciated.

OpenStudy (priyar):

well..all u need to do is plug in the values: 2 for x and -5 for y in the given new eq..

OpenStudy (priyar):

coz they are asking for the ''coressponding'' point..

OpenStudy (priyar):

@Oris did u understand?

OpenStudy (priyar):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, I would do y = -14f(2+5) ? I get y = -98.

OpenStudy (priyar):

u can't multiply f(7) and 14..

OpenStudy (priyar):

coz we don't know the value of f(7)..ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand how to do it.
