Triangle Help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's been so long since I've done a problem like this! I set them (+ another variable representing the third angle) to 90 and I don't think I'm coming up with the correct answer :/

Anyone willing to refresh my memory?

@ganeshie8 Your help would be appreciated!

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

All 3 angles of a triangle always add up to 180 degrees. Also angle Q = angle angle O = 3x + 20 Therefore, 3x + 20 + 3x + 20 + 4x + 10 = 180 10x = 130 x = 13 So, angle P = 4x+10 = 62 degrees angle O = angle Q = 3 x + 20 = 59 degrees 62 + 59 + 59 = 180 degrees so all 3 angles sum to 180 degrees.

Oh my goodness I feel like an idiot! I thought a triangle was 90, it's been so long

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!
