Hey there! Do you know the distributive property?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

11(17-x) = 11*17 -11*x - how you think these are same ?

OpenStudy (scarlettfarra2000):

The answer is A. 11 x 17 - 11x because you would use the distributive property and multiply the number on the outside (11) by everything on the inside (17 and -x)
