Help!!! I will fan and medal!!!😩😩 #11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I attached it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

I don't see it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure if it worked but it's.... To be a flight attendant, you must be at least 18 years old and at most 55 years old, and you must be between 60 and 74 inches tall, inclusive. Let x represent a person's age (in years) and let y represent a person's height (in inches). Write a graph a system of linear inequalities showing the possible ages and heights for flight attendants.

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

ok so what do you have so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nothing to be honest not sure what it is asking

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

it is asking for you to write an inequality so if x has to be between 18 and 55 how do we write that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y<?????

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

kinda so they are saying you have to be between 18 adn 55 it doesnt say you could be 18 so do we use < or <=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

<= since u can be 55 and still work

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

right so how do we say that you have to be between 18 and 55 using an inequality?

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

Do you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

18<=55??

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

Hint: I am between 1<=x<=80 years old

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

sorta now where does x fit in there?

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

18<=x<=55 because you have to be in between 18 and 55. Now try to do the height part.

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

you know that <= is really |dw:1453502160990:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry I'm really confused right now

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

ok so we have to put x in between 18 and 55 so we have to make an inequality..... <= is greater or equal to whatever number so 18<=x<=55 is just saying x has to be greater than or equal to 18 and less than or equal to 55

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

so to get y it is 60<=y<=74

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank u:)

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

fan ?
