Help!! Not sure if I'm doing #15 right😰 I will fan and medal!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Give an ordered pair that is a solution of the system. 15. x-y>=3 y<15

OpenStudy (phi):

I would first pick a y so that y<15 can you pick a number less than 15 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like what do u mean?

OpenStudy (phi):

btw, I always try to use "simple" numbers so that the arithmetic is easy. **Like what do u mean?*** the question is asking for an x and a "y" that "works" for both relations the second relation says: y is smaller than 15 so if you want a y that "works" for that relation, you want a "y" that is smaller than 15 Pick a number for y. can you do that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like I graphed both lines...by then I got stuck...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I normally use (0,0)....

OpenStudy (priyar):

i saw ur graph its correct! but u need to shade the regions to get a better idea..(since this is inequality..)..and checking with (0,0) works for this question too...

OpenStudy (priyar):

@Nicole.prados first find the common region, then pick any point (ordered pair) in that..thats it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know I didn't shade it in different colors but like this???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@priyar

OpenStudy (priyar):

yeah u are right ..! now u can see the "common" region..right?

OpenStudy (priyar):

@Nicole.prados choose any point from it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right ok thank u so much!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (priyar):

so what will be your point?

OpenStudy (priyar):

ok then..u r welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(5,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@priyar

OpenStudy (priyar):

yes! (5,0) is correct

OpenStudy (priyar):

good job!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thank u :)))))
