Pre-cal 12 Question! Sinusoidal functions! A Ferris wheel ride can be represented by a sinusoidal function. A Ferris wheel has a radius of 15 m and travels at a rate of six revolutions per minute. Lucy boards the ride at the bottom char from a platform 1m above the ground. Determine the equation of a cosine graph in the form of h(t) = a cos [b (t - c)] + d Please help me to find value of d.

OpenStudy (korosh23):

This is what I know. amplitude or a = radius of circle a= 15 m c= 0 No phase shift p = 60sec/10 = 10 sec I don't understand what is the value of d??? d means vertical shift or transfer.

Ok this is what I think it is, |dw:1453668045658:dw|
