How does the Fallingwater house represent the art deco period? I am supposed to write about the Fallingwater house for my art history class but I don't see how it belongs in the art deco period.

Fallling Water was designed during the time period that Art Deco was popular in larger urban areas in America, but Frank Lloyd Wright was much more influenced by Japanese art and architecture. Being the preeminent architect of the 20th century in America, his vision of the future of modern dwelling spaces much more closely aligns with the Modernism of the Bauhaus in Germany and the Japonisme influences of Japanese arts. His homes and structures in Los Angeles are influenced by Mayan architecture (patterned blocks).
