I'm new at problems like this so I would very much appreciate help. Point P lies to the left of a long line of charge. The charge is uniformly distributed and the total charge is Q. Determine the electric field at point P. Note the the distance D extends from P to the point exactly halfway across the charge distribution. b: Simplify your answer in the limit that D L. Does this result make sense? Explain. c: Repeat part a if the charge is described by a linear charge density λ = λ0L/x where λ0 is a positive constant.
