The composition of sedimentary rock shows the source of the sediment that makes up the rock. Which of the following would provide the best evidence of how the rock formed? the rock's fossil content the rock's texture the rock's age the rock's color

OpenStudy (aaron96):

me personally I would go with either age texture or color.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd imagine it's A.

OpenStudy (drawwithapurpose):

okay first take a look at a sedimentary rock and then look at the texture, color, age, and fossil content. then come to a conclusion based on the evidence you've found.

OpenStudy (drawwithapurpose):

okayyyy well how about this: take a close look at a sedimentary rock and you will see what? bits and pieces of smaller rocks right? http://geology.com/rocks/pictures/breccia.jpg so how would you think the actual rock itself was formed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By being molted together with other rocks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So.. texture?

OpenStudy (drawwithapurpose):

mhm!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My thanks.
