I've finally gotten to writing to you, it's been difficult trying to make this back country place self-sufficient. I am an apprentice for the blacksmith. While learning the ropes, I also man the trading post down in one of the town commons. (Beautiful place!) I live by a tributary, by a bunch of artisans. I hear they are making a proclamation, which they are dubbing, "The proclamation of 1763"! Also, the town has told me to hand out and print Almanacs! It's great! All the while, many of us are forced to be careful. The French Indian War is occurring, right under our nose! It's frightful, for sure! Anyway, I've got to get back to the post.
