OpenStudy (trisaba):

what is x?

OpenStudy (trisaba):

\[\sqrt{3x-8}+1=\sqrt{x+5}\] @dan815 @zepdrix

@desmarie

OpenStudy (desmarie):

rad 3x - 8 + 1= rad x +5 (rad 3x - 8)^2 = (rad x +5)^2 - you do this to get it out of the radical sign 3x - 8 +1 = x + 5 2x = 5 + 7 2x = 12 x = 6

OpenStudy (desmarie):

let me know if it is right.
