OpenStudy (briellshaw):

What do ya'll think about my video? Criticism would be much appreciated! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlYPnTJt70I

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

stand up when you sing. it would sound better. you voice is also breathy. Try to sing the note with your whole voice not just a piece of it. :) it would sound better. :)

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

does your voice sound different when you sing different songs? (not like different notes but like styles)

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

👏👏👏 @Atsie sometimes people just have different opinions :/ its okay

OpenStudy (briellshaw):

yea

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

@jigglypuff314 you are an amazing mod sometimes people dont appreciate that but in turn i think that you already knew that and accepted that when you decided to become a mod :)

http://vocaroo.com/i/s0nzrPK9AC2r Is this better

OpenStudy (briellshaw):

but, i am still sitting down!

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

i think what you do is try to conform to the style in which the origional author sings it. dont do that! you sound like you have an amazing voice but you work so hard changing the style of your voice to conform to other's voices that it doesnt sound as good as it should.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

i didnt say it sounded better. one can only work on one thing at a time

OpenStudy (briellshaw):

It's hard not to do that. But, It's like talking without saying um or like unless it is completely necessary

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

yeah i know; it took me forever to sing my own style instead of someone elses. but now; when i sing i feel amazing doing it. it also sound A LOT better

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

sounds*

OpenStudy (briellshaw):

http://vocaroo.com/i/s0q7Bt1zzxcl this is when i sing my own style in a lower voice!

OpenStudy (briellshaw):

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

it sounds better-ish it takes time hun. dont force it into one night. It took me a few weeks

Atsie (atsie):

@BriellShaw WOW! I'm so shocked that you attempted that part of Give Your Heart a Break. The part is by no means easy. It took me a long time to sing it to. Keep in mind your breathing and also the control of your pitch and your notes. Yes, you did sound a bit sketchy (I'm not going to lie) but its a matter of finding where your pitch belongs. You can sing, you just gotta find what works for you. Keep practicing! Don't give up! We all have been where you've been before many a time :) @RhondaSommer Yes I know. :) I'm defensive to much of the time of others I think hehe. :D

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

lol you're good I just want people to improve!
