OpenStudy (sparrow2):

and there is F function?

OpenStudy (sparrow2):

to find the result you need f function

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

remember this equation? \[m= (y2-y1)/(m2- m1)\] well it can be rewriten as y is the same as saying f(x) so\[m = (f(x2) - f(x1))/(x2-x1) \]

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

oh i wrote the first equation wrong *Facepalm*

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

it should be \[m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)\]

OpenStudy (mathmale):

This problem, as posted, is completely solvable. Your job is to explain the MEANING of the expression given in the illustration.

OpenStudy (sparrow2):

in the question written FIND @mathmale

OpenStudy (mathmale):

To "find" a numerical value for the given expression, we'd have to have a table of input and output values. Was such a table given with this question?

OpenStudy (sparrow2):

thats why the question isn't complete, i said that we needed f function ..@mathmale
