you need the distance from A to C
given cos 12 = height/ 786 you can find the horizontal distance to the perpendicular then use pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse AC of the triangle with one leg the height you already have from the Cos and the other leg the horizontal to the perpendicular calculated added to AB
