to find the unit rate you have to divide the number of says with the about of money she paid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just have to divide 171 by 12

the answer is 14.25

Thank you Both @DAVPAS1 @Zombitar90967

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. its c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She is looking for r. r will equal 171/12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see what you where trying to do but the bigger fraction has to go on top for that to work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be more like 12r=171

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesnt have to. and It works r would equal 14.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is why I think the answer is c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you said the answer was A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12r=171 12 * 14.25=171

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but to find r you would want to set it up in a simpler matter. r=171/12 is easier to write out and solve than 12r=171
