Well, there are loads of things you could write about. The question is, does your teacher stop you from writing specific topics? Or are you free from writing anything you want?

You should probably decide whether you want to write nonfiction or fiction first. If you'd rather have an outline, or you seem to hit road blocks a lot, you should probably go with nonficition because you can always look up facts about your subject. Each chapter will be easy because you can dedicate it to a certain feature. For example, you could do a story on a tiger. One chapter may be about food, the other about habitats and so on. A fiction book is probably more interesting to read and write. It may take longer to write and think over because you have to think about characters, plot, etc. but you will be able to make it to your liking and maybe even talk or stress an important issue.
