OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you find the slope of a line on a table?

OpenStudy (k3du53):

\[\frac{ y_{2}-y_{1} }{ x_{2}-x_{1} }\] y sub 2 being one y-coordinate of a pair Ex. (4,3) y(2)=3 y sub 1 being the y-coordinate of another pair Ex. (5,4) y(1)=4 x sub 2 being one x-coordinate of a pair Ex. (4,3) x(2)=4 x sub 1 being the x-coordinate of another pair Ex. (5,4) x(1)=5 I hope that made sense, I explained it best I could.
