OpenStudy (prominer10000):

Which pronoun best completes the sentence? How is the pronoun used? Andy saw Marvin and __________ at the traveling circus. A. them; indirect object B. them; direct object C. they; direct object D. they; indirect object I know for sure it's them, but is them a direct or indirect? I think it's direct but I'm not 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Them; Direct object

Uh, go with that, A direct object is a pronoun that receives the action of a verb. It answers the questions "Who?" or "What?" after the verb. The verb is saw. Andy saw who? He saw them. "Them" receives the action. Got that from another question, my best guess
