Which pronoun best completes the sentence? How is the pronoun used? The coaches cancelled afternoon practice for __________ and the managers. A. us; indirect object B. we; indirect object C. we; object of a preposition D. us; object of a preposition
Its def not we so what are you thinking? A or D D definition - prepositional phrase is a group of words containing a preposition, a noun or pronoun object of the preposition, and any modifiers of the object. A preposition sits in front of (is “pre-positioned” before) its object.
SO first you want to know , what IS the OBJECT of this! who do you think is the main object here? you can say "us" if you think it might be
Well I can tell you that the object or object of a prepositional is mainly coaches but as we know "coaches" may be the direct object of the sentence but I'm thinking as for the answer A cause the object or DIRECT OBJECT was already seen as it was "coaches" so A is correct !!
I meant for in the beginning to say you can see the "coaches is easily the direct object
