I'm sure this has been suggested before, but what about an unfollow button for questions?

Because it's like sometimes people don't close their questions and people just keep responding. Or if someone mass tags you and there's so many responses that keep on popping up.

Unfollow by deleting your comments, and if you posted too much, you either delete all of them or get notifications.

Yeah, we have already put it out for consideration...many users have seen the idea as something that should be added for people that subscribe.
