OpenStudy (missmeow):

What is the melting point of wire?

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

Depends on what the wire is made of.

OpenStudy (missmeow):

copper

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

The melting point of copper wouldn't be something that is common knowledge you would most likely find it on a table portraying values of melting points of multiple solid metals. One thing to note is that there are relatively strong metallic bonding between solid Copper atoms therefore the melting point to get solid copper to go to liquid copper would be quite high.

OpenStudy (missmeow):

okay, thanks!
