Will medal for help :-) You roll a number cube. What is the theoretical probability of rolling a number greater than 4?

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Any choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many sides ae on the cube and what are the numbers

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

It's a 6 sided die I'm guessing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea most likely

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SageWilson yes :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good so im guessing the numbers are 1-2-3-4-5-6

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Yeah since there are only 2 number larger than 4, and 6 numbers in total your fraction/ratio would be 2/6 or 1/3 simplified.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

) The probability of rolling a 1 for a six-faced die is 6 1 . It is read as “1 in 6” or “1 out of 6”. In other words, you have a 1 in 6 chance (or a 1 out of 6 chance) of rolling a 1 when you roll the die.

@SageWilson thank u v much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so yes 1/3

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

No problem
