Sammie has 3 times as many goldfish as Nora. Nora has 4 goldfish. How many goldfish do Sammie and Nora have in all? 16?

OpenStudy (phantomcrow):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says in all for both of them tho doesn't it?

OpenStudy (phantomcrow):

S=3N N=4

OpenStudy (phantomcrow):

If we solve that and add them up, its 16

OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

First you would do \(3 * 4\) which is \(12\). Then add \(12 + 4\), which is \(16\). This shows, that you are correct! :) @LoveIt
