i use pictures for these type of questions to help me visualize the greater function and if that function is always greater on the given interval... but we can also do it without drawing a picture you need to first see if there are any intersections between the graph of f(x)=sqrt(cos(x)) and the graph of g(x)=sqrt(sin(x)) you find these by setting them equal to each other and solving for x
