How do I set this up...If Indiana stayed same size in area, but had same population density as Alaska ,how many ppl would we expect to live in Indiana? The info given is Indiana population 6mill and area sq. miles is 36185

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you would have to know the population density of Alaska

Then it would be |dw:1453955334660:dw|

Alaska has 1.2 people per square mile so (1.2/1) = (x/36185) (1.2)(36185) = 1x x = 43422 So 43422 people would live in Indiana if it had the population density of alaska
