I need help! So this is a word problem and for the second question, I don't know what to do. This is info for the question: (I'll type in questions in chat) Discount Cards: $5.50 Saving books: $10 Concession passes: 3.50
(a) Dana and Katie each sold coupons for the fundraiser. Dana sold the same number of savings books and discount cards. Write an expression for the total amount of money she made from selling the savings books and the discount cards, using only the variable x. For this I got 10x+5.50x and 10*5.50+x*x (Correct me If i'm wrong) Now, the next question is what i'm confused about:
(b) Katie sold the same number of discount cards as Dana did. However, she did not sell the same number of savings books. Katie sold the same number of savings books as she did concession passes. Write an expression for the total amount of money she made from selling the coupons using only the variables x and y, where x represents the same thing it does in Part (a). It'd be nice if anyone can help me, I know this looks like a lot, but if someone is good at math/word problems it might be easy
my computer is about to shut down, i'll come back in a sec
and no one helped....
