Which example shows that a chipmunk acquires energy, a characteristic of life? A. It gives birth to four or five young twice a year. B. It hibernates in the winter. C. It is prey for mammals and birds. D. It stores large amounts of food in its burrow. I am confused between C and D. Help, please? ^^
I will fan and medal x3
what do you think it is?
I am mainly going with C, but D is also an option to consider because it's also dealing with food and energy if you think about it.
Living things must acquire nutrients so that they can be used to build and maintain the structures of an organism. Energy is needed to maintain the work done by the organism. C. It is prey for mammals and birds, is not talking about the chipmunk acquiring energy. So the answer would be D. It stores large amounts of food in its burrow. Food is what gives the chipmunk energy.
re read over C and think about the what the question is asking
