Calculus.

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

@jim_thompson5910 Due to the last problem I think it is C.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

You'd help yourself tremendously by sketching this function. Once you have a rough sketch, choose the number of partitions (e. g., 4, 5 or 6) and draw approximating rectangles and approximating trapezoids. This visual representation should be sufficient to enable you to answer the question. I'd suggest you NOT "think it's C" without having solid reasons (such as a diagram) upon which to base your decision.

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

well I should say I am assuming it is c because midooint is under the curve and trapezoid is at the curve.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

another way is to pick on a function that fits the description, say \(\Large f(x) = e^{x}\) and compute the values of M, T and A. Then sort the values.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

e^x is a relatively nice function because the integral of it is itself (ignore the +C because it'll go away with definite integrals)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Again, I think you should base your decision on actual drawings. Have I misunderstood, urging you to make a drawing when you've already done so?

OpenStudy (thecalchater):

yeah I had already made a drawing my bad for not letting you know.
