A pentagonal prism 9 mi tall with a regular base measuring 11 mi on each edge and an apothem of length 7.6 mi. Find the volume...459.8?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

area of base = 5*11*7,6 /2 = ? --- = 209 V = area of base time height = ? ---- = 9*209 = 1881

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok. ?

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

@brill do you agree?

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

@Brill

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup thats right

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

I thought the 1/2*a*p formula would work for this problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah thats the area of the base, then you multiply by the height to get the volume

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

Alright, looks like you were correct. jhonyy
