Mrs. Walter drove 360 miles on 25 gallon of gas Mr. Walter drove 480 mle and 32 gallon of gas find the mileage per gallon of each car. which car is better mileage per gallon.

makes us want to assume that the "per" is 1

in the case of 360 miles per 25 gallons
the "per" is 25 not 1

so to get to to become 1
we do: 360 divided by 25 = ?

that would give us the miles per gallon of the first car
