Humans and dinosaurs never existed at the same time. We are able to trace our ancestry back to other very small mammals that existed during the time of the dinosaurs. Anther way to think about it is that if there were humans and dinosaurs, the humans would be extinct because we would have all been eaten. Yet another point is that the EARLIEST known human remains have been found were WAY after the dinosaur fossils we have found - on a different layer of rock.
