As teenagers get older, they mature, and the hormones in their bodies settle, which truly allows them to think better. Raising the driving age to 18 could lessen the amount of "stupid" accidents that take place, i.e., racing, texting, goofing around, etc. In the legal side, it would make things easier in an accident-situation because then everyone would be an adult, and the courts could have an easier time with cases as they wouldn't have to take considerations for minor vs. adult. Is this what you want before I start on the second paragraph

have looser restrictions but with more severe punishments. Punishments now are mostly just fines, which don't really deter some people, and the restrictions in some places piss off the responsible ones. If we had looser restrictions with stiffer punishments, then the responsible ones wouldn't have a problem and the irresponsible teens wouldn't keep their licenses.
