Don't be a victim. This is a personal, internal struggle. Just stop being a victim. I play a game with little kids in order to teach them a lesson. I am in a position to interact with small children, usually 3-11. The scenario I encounter often is one kid chasing another. I stop them both and ask about the problem. It usually goes like this:

Me to Kid 1: "What's the problem?"
Kid 1: "He is chasing me!" (Referring to Kid 2)
Me to Kid 1: "Come. Stand over here. Don't move."
Me to Kid 2: "Okay, now you can chase Kid 1. Go!!"
Kid 2: "What?"
Me: "Chase him."
Kid 2: "I can't."
Me: "Why not?"
Kid 2: "He isn't going anywhere."
Me to Kid 1: "Problem solved."

Some find this unsatisfactory, but I see it as quite explantory.

1) The chasing kid really isn't all that interested in catching the pursued kid. He just needs a victim.

2) Being chased isn't really the problem. Being a victim is the problem. It really is as simple as stopping.

We have to remember that some people just want to see the world burn. It is very difficult to retrain such. The best we can do in the short term is save the victim.

I agree with the solutions given above :))
to prevent yourself getting bullied you gotta be bold and stand against the wrong
"try" to be friends with everyone :) even with the ones who are bullies but don't do anything wrong in friendship that they tell you to do..try to slowly convince your problem and if still it doesn't work then contact some adult.
make friends and be in groups so you have support if someone comes to bully you (:
i think that the main reason why people bully is that they like someone getting irritated or crying so don't get irritated or cry in front of bullies.
