research report about "how can i use statistics and probability to help others make informed decisions regarding about driving and cellphone use" hopin' that someone can help, because i can't understand what does it mean T^^T

OpenStudy (akausen):

So statistics will show people how many people who get in a car accident were texting while it happened, right? This could scare people if a lot of people get in accidents while texting, so it may prevent them from participating in texting while driving.

OpenStudy (akausen):

Maybe you could look up some statistics of this to include in your paper, statistics always help a paper look more believable. Just remember to cite them

Can I use this? http://www.textinganddrivingsafety.com/texting-and-driving-stats

OpenStudy (akausen):

Yes. If your teacher is worried about the credibility of sources though, you may want to check out that source or compare it to others to see if they all contain similar statistics. You may even want to look into how they obtained those numbers. It kind of depends on the class. If it is for statistics, your teacher is probably concerned with how those results were found, since we learn in statistics that there are ways to skew results in a certain direction. If it's for English, they like credible sources.
