A small city has two hospitals, A and B. Typically, hospital A attends to 20 emergencies per day while hospital B attends to 50 emergencies per day. Assume that the proportion of emergencies that are life-threatening is approximately .3 at each hospital. (a) At which hospital would you find it more likely that the percentage of life-threatening emergencies on a given day is at least 40%? Why? Then you have to simulate a random sample with a random digits table. How would you simulate it in the table? Tried using even numbers as "life-threatening emergencies". Is that correct?
