A.  not true. The British did it but in consonance with major Indian political groups.
B. Bangladesh split from India as a third country in 1971, after Pakistan did in 1947.
C. True . Nearly a million casualties.
D. In part true. Today's Pakistan was the region identified with a majority Muslim   population at that time which some of the Muslim leaders demanded as separate country.
