http://prntscr.com/9xsn9a I would like an explanation. The choices are rhombus, parallelogram, square, and rectangle. If it helps, I believe my teacher is wanting me to use the slope formula to solve this. I attempted it, but still have no idea how to solve. I will medal.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

rombus-a parallelogram with opposite equal acute angles, opposite equal obtuse angles, and four equal sides. parellelogram-a four-sided plane rectilinear figure with opposite sides parallel. square-a plane figure with four equal straight sides and four right angles. rectange-a plane figure with four straight sides and four right angles, especially one with unequal adjacent sides, in contrast to a square.

OpenStudy (kikuo):

@RhondaSommer Thank you for replying! So, how do I solve this with the slope formula?

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

based on that; get the slope of each side and see which definition it fits

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

dont even need the slope form XD let me show you

OpenStudy (kikuo):

@RhondaSommer We don't? That's weird, my teacher said we'd need to find the products of the slopes to get the answer. : )

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

XD here's a trick

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

@Kikuo

OpenStudy (kikuo):

@RhondaSommer Can you explain your drawing a bit? I'm a bit confused about what you did.

OpenStudy (kikuo):

Ah, I understand now.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

you do?
