Question

Hello,
I have recently got into writing novels and short stories and much of that sort. I seem to be encountering some problems with my writing that I would love to get solved so I can proceed to find good ideas and do what I love. The first main problem I have is with the fact that I don't enjoy people around me reading my writing. I always feel as though people will just tell me what I want to hear, and I would love to a professional opinion on my writing style and technique. My question would be; Are there any websites of any source that can help tell me if I have a good style in writing?

I also have the problem of not finishing my stories. I will begin to write a story, and I will get through about a chapter before scrapping the whole thing. Or forgetting about it, is there any way to prevent this from happening? Especially because I like most of the ideas I put out there. I just run out of time and encouragement. Any help on either question is welcome.

I love using a site called "Wattpad".
It's where people can go and write their own stories and read great stories by other users. People can comments and vote for stories as well. Not everybody on the site is a professional, but some are really experienced writers.
I have the same problems as you. I start a story really interested in it, and then after a while I move on to writing another story and forget about the other one. One of my stories I kind of abandoned got over 300 reads on Wattpad which inspired me to start writing it again, along with other users that told me what they really liked about it.
I think you should give Wattpad a try. The site itself doesn't "tell you," if you have a good writing style, but it might be good practice in developing your own unique writing style :D

I appreciate the advice. This does give me some perspective to try different writing sites. In the past I have used Wattpad, but the fact that I never went on after about a chapter of story still haunted me. I would love to see if I could keep up a story on Wattpad again. Thank you once again for the advice and I'd love to see any of your stories on Wattpad :)

I love using Wattpad as well (My user is MysteriousXLife , a collab account with a friend). Its an awesome website/app that lets people see your work and comment/vote. With the praise given on your stories it will most likely encourage you to keep writing it, which should help with that one problem of not finishing your stories :D

You can go on Wattpad (My username is Bang_Min) or quotev (www.quotev.com/PerfectIsntReal). I use a pseudonym so people don't know my real name, and that' what I suggest if you want to people to read without people knowing.
